I've moved to Paekākāriki, been to China, Japan and America (twice), bought a house, had a baby and done a whole lot of painting since I left my last beloved studio at Production Village (which was tragically sold for in-fill housing, displacing a whole community of amazing Wellington Artists and musicians). So its with much excitement that I picked up the key to my new studio in Paekākāriki village last week, walked up the steps above the wonderful Beach Road Deli, and unlocked my studio door. It has a little fire place, and big windows overlooking the train. I'm less than a minute away from the best pizza and coffee on the Kāpiti Coast, and am loving getting little surprise visits from family and friends.
This marks an important new chapter for me and my paintings - I have swelling ambition to paint and am looking forward to spending a lot more doing so in this charming little studio surrounded by other artists and creative people.
My studio is based in the historic Holtem Building, in Paekākāriki Village.
The Gallery is also upstairs at 1 Beach Road. It is open Thurs-Sat, 10am-4pm & by appointment. I love visitors! But please txt me in advance just to make sure I haven't popped off home for lunch!
